Bookmarklets

To check any new wiki page against the old wiki's page, use the following as the URL of a bookmarlet in your browser (in most browsers you can highlight the code below, drag it to your bookmarks bar, and then rename it). All you have to do is fire the bookmarklet when you're looking at a page on the new wiki and you'll be taken to the corresponding page on the old wiki.

javascript:(function(){var uri=location.href;var fp=uri.search('wiki/');if(fp>0){fp+=5;location.href='http://css-discuss-old.incutio.com/?page='+uri.substr(fp).replace(/_/gi,'');}})();

To check the Wayback Machine's archives of a page, use the following as the URL of a bookmarklet in your browser (in most browsers you can highlight the code below, drag it to your bookmarks bar, and then rename it). All you have to do is fire the bookmarklet when you're looking at a page on the new wiki and you'll be taken to the corresponding page's archive page on the Wayback Machine.

javascript:(function(){var uri=location.href;var fp=uri.search('wiki/');if(fp>0){fp+=5;location.href='http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://css-discuss.incutio.com/?page='+uri.substr(fp).replace(/_/gi,'');}})();

Cleaned

The following lists are pages that had been flagged for cleanup or other repair. They have all been worked on by the volunteers, so no further action is required. Feel free to look around and see if we missed anything during the editing process.

Spammed Pages Wiped Clean

A list of apparently once-useful pages that were wiped clean because the only thing left was spam. Some were restorable, but others were not. Restoration done, where possible; double-checking appreciated.

Spammed Pages Which May Have Major Loss

A list of pages that appeared to have lost some or most of their content due to the spamfiltration. The loss may range from trivial to severe; from subtle to painfully obvious. Restoration and cleanup done; double-checking appreciated.

Comments

In an offlist, Eric said something about maybe adding a comments section here so that we could all compare notes, I'll start it off. Except for a couple of pages that are total losses (and one page I found that was corrupt but recoverable), the biggest issue I'm seeing is corrupt links to other Wiki pages. Wiki uses single or double square brackets (double for internal links) and what I'm seeing the most of? Pages with three-or-more words in the page name that have the square brackets arranged improperly - so it's largely a proofreading exercise and trying to guess the correct page name. So if there is a Site Map document, it would be very helpful for determining original page names and which (if any) linked text strings are false positives. Also discussed elsewhere, a pointer to the docs for this Wiki software. Here's hoping for that, sometime soon. --InkWorks

This should probably be on the discussion tab (Talk:Migration). I'll copy it over and respond. —Emeyer
