HTML in front of / on top of a Flash object

You need to set your position on the div to relative, absolute or fixed and then set the z-index greater to the z-index of the flash content.

The last thing to do is set the wmode of the flash content to transparent or opaque.

In flash object pseudo-markup, it looks like this:

<object width="425" height="344">
    <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/SOMEMOVIE"></param>
    <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param>
    <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/SOMEMOVIE"
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    width="425"
    height="344"
    wmode="transparent">
    </embed>
</object>
